We're not qualified or regulated to provide one-on-one help, but there are some great organisations who can.
If you're feeling down and want to you can call, email, text or visit the Samaritans – don't worry it's totally confidential. You can call on 116 123, text 07725 909090, email [email protected] or find out about one-on-one help in branch at Samaritans.org. You can also chat to someone via livechat or the helpline at CALM 365 days a year.
For practical advice and one on one help with debt or legal matters, there’s Citizens Advice. There's also great support available for debts with StepChange and National Debtline. If you want more help, there’s Christians Against Poverty, who do a mix of debt and emotional counselling.
None of these agencies are there to judge you, they’re just there to help – it's worth a call.
There's more help in our Debt Problems guide, and you can also ask questions to trained debt advisers from StepChange on our Struggling with debt? Ask a debt adviser question thread within our forum.
