How does energy switching work?

When you apply to switch energy, it's only customer service, billing and, most importantly, prices that change. The pipes, circuits, wires and actual gas and electricity flowing through your home are all the same (so there's no chance of you being cut off during a switch).

The new supplier contacts your old supplier and performs the switch, and all you do is take a meter reading. For most, it's a smooth process.
